Candida Crane and Daphne Sumpter offer Seattle (U-District) Casey's Club™. They are running one group for 2nd-4th graders at their UW location.

Who?

Casey's Club™ invites all kids to join our us to learn great social and emotional skills. The lessons are beneficial to everybody. Our clubs are therapeutic groups that always have 2 mental health counselors as facilitators and we only allow up to 10 club members. The only requirement is that club members are self-contained and able to sit in a group for a half an hour. Take a moment and read about our facilitators.

Facilitator 1:

Candida Crane is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor inWashington State and a certificated school counselor with a Masters in Education. She has 18 years of experience with running social groups, providing individual counseling and teaching social skills in elementary school settings. For the last 3 years she has been a substitute co-leader for the Casey’s Club House groups in Kirkland, WA. Her passion has been to improve and enhance children’s social experiences, and increase their abilities to positively connect with others. She is excited for the opportunity to bring Casey’s beneficial curriculum to the Seattle area.

Facilitator 2:

Daphne Sumpter is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington and has a Masters of Arts in Psychology.  She has over 20 years of experience in the field of counseling and mental health with children and adults.  Daphne has provided both individual and group counseling as well as social skills support in outpatient, residential and inpatient settings.  She has experience facilitating parent support groups for new adoptive parents, focusing on developing healthy attachments.

More recently she has been working in hospital settings providing patient and family support.  Daphne has focused much of her continued education in the areas of attachment, mindfulness and developing therapeutic connections with children using play. She is passionate about helping children and adults develop deep, meaningful connections in the context of healthy, thriving relationships.
